Description
Television static is an amazing thing.
They say it's the continuous echo of the loudest
explosion ever thought to have existed.
The creation of the universe.
That white noise.
The sound that, when the night draws in
sends shivers down your spine.
The cold electrical nothingness.
That eerie atmosphere from an old TV,
sitting in the corner of a now mouldy living room,
as it's static lights up the room.
Then the turquoise reaches out.
Lines, patterns, glowing shapes
that curl out from the screen,
dripping onto the floor and reaching forwards
over the dirty carpet.
The room turns green blue as they extend,
the static warping, moving, coming alive once more.
A face presses against the screen from the inside,
the eyes and mouth aglow with a silent emotion
The face presses forward against the glass,
the glass stretches like chloroform at first
seemingly desperate to hold onto the
strange feline creature.
But at last it gives around the form,
sliding around the head, neck and the rest of the body.
Arms reach forwards and place themselves on the ground,
turquoise sparks glisten from under paws.
Her fur flickers with remaining static before
finally settling on the midnight black hue.
The room alight with strange patterns that
crawl up the walls and over chairs, swirling.
Bright eyes look up from the floor as
the tail finally slides out of the television set.

she gazes towards the avian.
"..Welcome to England."
